Modeled after the iconic Shallot Pasta, caramelized shallots and melted anchovies make this sauce delightfully salty and savory. (If you think you don't like anchovies—yes, you do!) Toss with bucatini and finish with finely chopped parsley and a bit of raw garlic.

    Love the shallot and anchovy with all my heart

    I have never enjoyed jarred sauces, until A Very Good Tomato Sauce. All three of them are excellent, but the shallot and anchovy is my favourite. It pleased the harshest critics in my household. I have used it over meatballs, over stuffed vegetables, and am dreaming of the many other delicious ways I can use it. It's just the right amount of sweet with that lovely balance of anchovy. For people who "don't like anchovies," you will like this sauce. Buy all the jars, but especially this one.

    I love this sauce!

    Very reminiscent of THAT recipe, but everyday easy. I rave to my friends about this one, all the umami.

    Amazing

    Truly an amazing tomato sauce. Perfectly salty and savory. I’m obsessed with the caramelized shallot pasta and this is perfect for when I don’t have a million shallots on hand to make it. All of the sauces are truly amazing, but this one’s my favorite! Makes dinner so simple to have these on hand; thank you for putting these out there!! I will be buying constantly
